    Zabbix server configuration without proxy

    I installed Zabbix server following the official guide in a virtual enviorement (using virtualbox at home 2 VMs: server and host with debian agent installed ).

    I don't install a proxy since my network is only for educational purposes, but I'll consider later.

    I need to know if I need additional configuration on Zabbix server in order to make it working.

    Actually I got Zabbix server in my host section and gets the data, but not for the host I intend to monitor tough I can ping it successuffly from the server and viceversa.

    Thanks to help me!

    What type of items do you plan to use for monitoring - different ones have different requirements?

      I add a host then I specify its ip. The montoring protocol is agent.

      This is my schema

      ZABBIX SERVER ---------> DEBIAN MACHINE
