thank you for you comment sir.
i don't know what details to show you since i have no progress on the issue and i have no leads on monitoring hardware.
what i do know is that i want to monitor "hp proliant dl380 gen9" hardware, I have succeeded monitoring a windows machine (a couple of machines).
I hope that you might pour some insight on the matter and that one day i can help someone else in this forum!

What exactly didn't work and what do you observe?
This template which you are using uses IPMI. Did you try to test can you connect atr all from server/proxy can you connect to the IPMI agent from locationm where zabbix is collecting the IPMI data?
What do you see in the server/proxy logs?

I tried following the post and the installation of freeipmi didn't work for me properly (installed manually and then from a package), in the frontend of zabbix i used the template that was provided and i didnt get any data (i got an error that says that the format should be JSON)
anyway I'm looking for a new way to monitor the hardware and ill be very happy if you can point me in the right direction.

Really sorry but as long as no one knows what exactly you been trying to test connectivity to IPMI agent and what exact results you had no one would be able to help you.
Again: did you try to obtain exact data from IPMI agent using freeipmi IPMI client?
I've asked you to check logs, and .. ?

PS.Just try temporary forget that you are you and read what you've so far wrote here and try to ask about "with what kind of issue this guy is dealing?"
