Hello, we know Zabbix has the ability to gracefully handle planned maintenance windows which is great but sometimes we have events that require unplanned maintenance. We have found that in these times most related alerts can be stopped by disabling monitoring on the affected nodes but there's still one problematic alert. We have the unreachable for 5 minutes trigger enabled on all our nodes so we know if a node goes down or has network troubles. However this trigger also fires after unplanned maintenance because, of course, during that time zabbix received no data about the affected nodes. Is there some sort of trigger formula we can use to tell zabbix not to fire the trigger if a node has recently been disabled? Thanks.

Thanks, that could be it--we're still on 2.0.8.
It looks like the latest version is now 2.2.1? If so, is it safe to upgrade from 2.0.8 to 2.2.1 or is there a different route we should take? Thanks again.
P.S. Waiting on https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43522 to see if 2.2.1 is stable or not...Last edited by jmusbach; 30-12-2013, 23:30.Comment
