Missing data in Zabbix for a Sophos UTM depending on the granularity

    Hi,

We monitor a Sophos UTM firewall via a distant proxy. The graphs show missing data when we choose a 6h or 12h granularity graph, but no missing data if it is a 1day granularity.
Have you been confronted with this kind of issue? what is the explanation?

How many seconds did you set the item update interval?
Have you get the value at that interval?

      60s for the item interval.
and i see in Latest Data that there are no values every 60s, but every 5mn instead! as you can see in the print screens attached.

If it is set at 60 second intervals, if it was not acquired at that time interval, is it something recorded in the log file?

The possibility of thinking is the occurrence of timeout.
The timeout setting defaults to 3 seconds.
Depending on equipment and network environment it may take more than 3 seconds.
When a timeout occurs, it is judged that the device is unresponsive, and by default the value will not be reacquired until after 5 minutes.

Please check the log file first.
If timeout seems to be occurring, please adjust the timeout time according to the environment you are using.

For SNMP, the setting is the value of Timeout in zabbix_server.conf.

      Hi Atsushi,

I modified the value for the Timeout to 10sec, but there is not change on the issue.
How can i verify on the log file? where is it located?

      Thanks

Did you check the log file?
As a result, did anything come out?

It may change by turning off the Use bulk requests check on the SNMP interface of the host.
