    Zabbix proxy & SNMP

Hi - i just setup a zabbix proxy (compiled from source), all seems to be functioning, its collecting data via SNMP as it should. Here is my query though:

The Server is a Zabbix APPLIANCE - when i Clone a HOST (the Host is local to the Server - update the IP and tell it to use the proxy) it displays much LESS registered "items" then the same host setup on the Server

I thought this was an SNMP/MIB issue - so i copied the MIB (/usr/local/share/snmp/mibs/ ) from the Server and copied them to the ZabbixProxy. Reloaded, restarted, re-cloned the host, same issue.

When I snmpwalk the host from the zabbix_proxy - it lists all expected OID's

    And advice would be fantastic.

I am not sure I got your question right.

By cloning you mean in Zabbix GUI?

And by much less items you mean they are created but do not retrieve data as they should?

And are you using OIDs or SNMP traps?

If you are using traps you must convert mibs besides copying them in the folder you mentionned.

To do so use the command:
    snmpttconvertmib --in=/usr/share/snmp/mibs/YOURMIBFILE --out=/$YOURSNMPPATH/snmptt.conf

    Hope it helps
