I have set this up before and it worked fine. However this is on a different box and I cannot get it to work. I have googled it and tried everything I found.
In zabbix_agentd.conf I have ServerActive set to the correct address
Host Name is the same as in the zabbix Gui
Path to the log file is correct
I did a chmod 777 to the log file, are there any other permissions needed?
In the zabbix GUI it is set to active.
I set up a log item and a logrt item. Both show up in the gui as ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED.
the logrt did work once, after the item had been set up for like 24 hours I got 1 item in latest data, but then nothing after that. The thing in latest data showed up about the time I restarted the zabbix agent. I have restarted the agent again since then but it did not work again. So what am I missing here? What is stopping this from working?
In the gui it is set up as logrt[/var/log/anevia/ANVMP01-errors.log,testing]
Do I need to put any other parameters? It is just a text file.
I set the Debug to 4 overnight and have a huge file to show for it, but I have no idea what to look for in it.
