Proably the user you've specified is not allowed for monitoring access?

Thanks for your reply. I am actually using the admin account. Is there something I am not understanding about the account needed for monitoring vcenter? The admin account should have access.

      Thanks again

I took your advice and created a Read Only user for the DataCenter. I deleted the host from zabbix. I recreated it with the new macros and also updated the macros on the vcenter template. WIll wait to see what happens

This link was an easy fix for that. Reboot after the install of packages.

Then as mentioned the creation of a read only CIM account
