How to use Zabbix to monitor an IBM z12 Mainframe

Last question was erroneously killed, let's try this again.

Rather simple request. Is anyone using Zabbix to monitor an IBM z12 Mainframe? And if so, care to share details? The only lead I have to follow is for ELK Stack. And that is several years old. Complicating this is the fact that I am not the Zabbix "guy" here, but am assisting him with a joint tasking to add monitoring our mainframe to the current open systems and Windows platforms he is monitoring. Be gentle with me! In short, I will gladly take any ideas on methods to get any log/performance data off the mainframe to another external machine, and the closer to realtime the better!

So this became a little easier. I have found out that ELK is being used, and that Zabbix pulls info from ELK. I have found a couple of programs that work to get data from the mainframe to ELK, so there is hope!
