ICPM Template Zabbix Appliance 2.2

I am not able to locate if there is some additional configuration needed to use the ICMP template. Any host added to the template is not available by icmp even though I can ping them.

What does your zabbix logfile say?

fping failed /usr/bin/fping6 can't create raw socket (must be run as root ?) Operation not permitted

From the manual:

shell> chown root:zabbix /usr/sbin/fping
shell> chmod 710 /usr/sbin/fping
shell> chmod ug+s /usr/sbin/fping

Thanks for your reply, I have completed the mentioned step. The logs still refer to the same error

I am now receiving

At least one of '/usr/sbin/fping', '/usr/sbin/fping6' must exist. Both are missing in the system.

check that zabbix user is member of zabbix group.

cat /etc/group
# add zabbix user to group
usermod -a -G zabbix zabbix

[tbollig]

group shows

zabbix:x:499:zabbix

logs are filling up with the fping6 and fping missing error

What version/distro of linux are you using?
Is fping installed at all?

It is the zabbix appliance 2.2 fing and fping6 are showing in usr/sbin

Can you paste the output of:

# ls -la /usr/sbin/fping*
