Zabbix has suddenly started to show problems

    Zabbix has suddenly started to show problems

    Dears,

    Zabbix is one of the best tools I have ever tried!
    But suddenly I noticed that I'm not getting emails from it, after checking it's status I found that "Zabbix busy alerter processes, in %" == 100%
    I'm sure it's one issue, also I opened the log file and got the below error message:

    Your Zabbix was identified such a spammer by Google SMTP server. Maybe IP of your server is on some email blacklist.
    Zabbix sees unsuccessful email delivery, so probably it's trying to send email again and again => 100% busy process.

    Quick solution: use another SMTP server in your Zabbix configuration.

      Thank you. But I tried some alternatives, but no luck.
      It seems I've been blocked widely. Do you know other alternatives? Also do you know how long it takes to be unblocked?

      BTW I'm afraid that Zabbix queue is not empty, so once I use another SMTP server, I got blocked again due to the number of emails in the queue.

        IMHO the best SMTP server is SMTP from your local internet/server hosting provider. You can communicate directly with provider, if you will be banned again.
        If your email recipients are from one company, you can try to setup SMTP server of this company.
        You can try to mark your email notification as delivered, if you are afraid about notification queue - I'm not sure, probably it's table alerts in Zabbix DB.

          Deleted the pending records!

          mysql> use zabbix;
          Database changed
          mysql> select count(*) FROM alerts;
          +----------+
          | count(*) |
          +----------+
          | 3257 |
          +----------+
          1 row in set (0.00 sec)

          mysql> DELETE FROM alerts;
          Query OK, 3262 rows affected (0.29 sec)

          mysql> select count(*) FROM alerts;


          What's IMHO?! I need to keep using SMTP server without auth.
          Please let me know your thoughts.
