    How to potspone an action

    HI,

We have recently adopted Zabbix as our monitoring system and we like it.
There something that we would like to do but we do not know how.

We would like to postpone actions when the trigger goes to Problem overnight.
Here is an example of the we would like to do:

1- A trigger goes to problem at 3:05AM. The action programmed for that event is to send an SMS to an administrator.
2- The problem does not need immediate attention and can wait until 7:00AM. So the action in hold until 7:00AM
3- At 7:00AM if the event is not resolved then the action is done and the SMS is sent to the administrator.

Does someone know a simple way to do that ?

    Thanks.

Setup maintenance windows? If it's still in a problem state after the window ends, the alerts will fire off - assuming you have the Pause operations in maintenance checked off

We know about the maintenance windows but we are reluctant to use maintenance windows for a mean other than its true purpose.
