    [Issue] Monitoring with SNMP protocol

    Hi all:

    I'm new and noob in the world Zabbix.
    I installed on a virtual machine (Debian 9.4) the Zabbix server (3.0.17), and I did some test with zabbix client, and i don't have a problem.
    But now, I try to do test with snmp protocol and i cant't do the comunicate between the client and host.

    I check the snmp protocol on the client.

    grislet@WSDEBCAS:~$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c public 172.22.46.XX (sensor temperature)
    iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0 = STRING: "Etherpower WEB Controller SNMP Agent"
    iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0 = OID: iso.3.6.1.4.1.38815
    iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 = Timeticks: (6825969) 18:57:39.69
    iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.4.0 = STRING: "[email protected]"
    iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0 = STRING: "www.etherpower.net"
    iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.7.0 = INTEGER: 62

    Sorry by my English.

    You forgot to mention even single word about what you are doing with zabbix, what kind effects you are expecting and what kind effects you observe.

      Did you add an ip address to this host for snmp?

      If you have problems with english, zabbix has also has a sub forum with different languages (spain, german etc)

        Hi and tanks.

        I put the IP on the snmp interface. I attached new image.
        I wrote new post in the spanish sub forum.

        I need to collect information from diferents temperature sensors.
        On Nagios works OK with the command.

        root@Nagios-SRV:/usr/local/nagios/etc# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_snmp -o .1.3.6.1.4.1.38815.3.5.0 -H 172.22.46.X -w 260 -c 280 -l 'Temp'
        SNMP CRITICAL - Temp *285* | Temp=285
        I test Zabbix, because it's simple to show the graphs with the different problems to the boss. For excample (the issue with the air conditioner)

          Sorry for misunderstanding, but in your first and in the very last message I saw two(2) different SNMP OID.
          In first message, you requesting information from OID iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.* (or numerical 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.*)
          In the last message, you shared Nagios example where OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.38815.3.5.0

          So, which OID are you looking for in reality?
          Sincerely yours,
          Aleksey

            The correct OID is in the example on Nagios. This example works

            Thanks for your help.

              I made a screenshot from my device which provide information about temperature from SNMP request.
              Create the same item, using your OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.38815.3.5.0, your Host interface 172.22.46.X, your SNMP community public
              Let me know about results
              Sincerely yours,
              Aleksey
