I am trying to set up automated network discovery for my switches and can't figure out if it is possible to add macros to discovered devices. I have the discovery part working via SNMPv3 check but the discovered host is added without the credentials supplied in the check.
Is it possible to configure the discovery to pass on the credentials of the devices? If not then do you have some other ideas as what I could do here?
My template expects a macros {$SNMPV3_PRIVPASSPHRASE}, {$SNMPV3_AUTHPASSPHRASE} and {$SNMPV3_SECURITYNAME}
I currently have worked around it creating a new template where the macros have been defined and assigning the discovered hosts to it but would like to not create a new template for devices to be discovered...
