    When are LLD checks run

This is probably a silly question, but when do LLD checks run?

Is it only during the scheduled discovery? Is it on each SNMP poll? Is there a place it is scheduled?

So for example, I added a template to a host, and the template (SNMP Interfaces) has LLD for interfaces. Nothing is showing up. What is the event that will cause it (hopefully) to take that inventory?

The device already had SNMP Generic on it, and was working; it had been added during regular discovery. SNMP Interfaces is not currently added (by my choice) during regular discovery but by hand.

Well, I can narrow it down a bit -- I disabled all discovery rules and discovery actions and it did (eventually) find it. I also added an interface to an already discovered router, and it didn't show up at first, but did some time later (maybe an hour, I didn't time precisely when I made the change).

I'm wondering if it relates to some caching time.

      Hi,

The default update interval for the snmp discovery rules is 3600 seconds

Can you point me to where it can be changed (assuming it can be changed)?

          Hi,

If you use the default Template SNMP Interfaces, change on the Discovery rule.

Wow, I really was blind. Sorry for the silly question, I see it now. It just takes a LOT of screens for one "template" by the time all these pieces come together.

            Thank you.
