    Admin Account Inaccessible

    Hi all -

    I'm having trouble logging into my zabbix administrator account. The password was lost / forgotten, and in trying to reset it according to this page, my issue persists. I have also tried setting it blank and logging in, but with no success. Is there anything else I can try? I don't want to reinstall as my instance is quite heavily configured.

    Hi,

    Try again using this:

    mysql> use zabbix
    Database changed
    mysql> UPDATE users SET passwd = MD5('newpass') WHERE userid = 1;

    It's very similar, but who knows... =p

      I tried updating according to your statement, with the same results:

      Incorrect username or password.

      Is this possibly due to LDAP login being in effect and Admin not being linked to an LDAP account? It just occurred to me.

      Is there a way to login to Zabbix mobile apps with LDAP?

        Well, you can try to edit the table "config" in option "authentication_type". The "0" value means it uses internal authentication, and value "1" means that you are using a ldap.

        I don't know how to exchange this value by command line, i use webmin. By the way, you can use the webmin to exchange the user password, but you must use a md5 password. Definitely this will solve your problem...
