Active-Pasive Servers

Hello,

I have to monitor two servers that when one of the servers is active the other is pasive so many of items that are being monitored are stoped and I donnot want to receive alerts when this items are stoped because they are active in the other server. Is ther anyway that I can have zabbix monitor this to servers and only tell me that there is a problem when in both servers the itens are stoped and that will consider that all is OK when this items are active in any of the two servers one at a time.

Take a look at Trigger dependencies

The triggers of server items can be configured as dependent of activity of server itself.

Then when the server activity triggers switch to different state , all triggers of server items will be hold until change of state of main trigger.
