Creating new zabbix instance from a clone

    Hi guys

looking for a bit of assistance, I created a local instance of zabbix on a centos vm. configured it all exactly as I wanted it, added in servers to monitor, once complete I cloned the vm and sent it to another site for them to
create a vm from the clone and save time on configuration, got them to change ip and the conf files to reflect this, unfortunately we can't get the front end to come up on the cloned environment

any ideas if we have missed a conf file somewhere or is it possible to clone zabbix in this way

    thanks in advance

    Check the zabbix.conf.php file

      Hi,

Some errors in the apache log or systemctl errors?

getting an error in the apache log quoting could not reliably determine the servers fully qualified domain name using localhost.localdomain

That error is usually harmless. You really should be seeing more -- either when you try to connect on the browser, or in the error.log or access.log in /var/log/apache2 (common place, may vary depending on linux flavor). Put the browser in debug mode if needed (like you are getting a blank screen). Put apache in debug mode if needed (adjust its config files).

"Can't get to come up" is not very descriptive, if you want helpful replies, you need to take us into that system and tell us what is happening.

At the very least, when you type in the new IP of the cloned server, it should give you the Apache test page (can you even ping the server)?

And when you said you cloned the VM, did you shut it down first before cloning?
