VPN tunnel is not down but Zabbix alert is not cleared

Zabbix monitors VPN site to site tunnel between 2 Fortigate Firewalls. On Firewalls both tunnels are UP but in Zabbix it's DOWN:

How does Zabbix monitors VPN interfaces: by telnet or other way

I'm totally newbie to Zabbix

Hi! Zabbix by default do not monitor VPN interfaces. You have to check what is the value that is returning the item (Monitoring -> Lastest Data), and later, check if the trigger is correctly configured.

Can you share the trigger expression and some data returned?

Hello! As I can see in the second image, the item seems to got 1 as value. Checking the trigger, the behaviour is correct. In the trigger you are comparing the value of the item with 1, and in this case, the item value is 1.

The trigger will be resolved, when the value of the item, will be different of 1. If you want, you can edit the expression and fire the trigger when the item value is different to 1.

This is solved by clearing data from zabbix and re-applying the templates
