    Upgrade Zabbix 2.2

    Hello everyone!

I'm new on Zabbix and I would like to upgrade Zabbix but I don't know why...
I have Zabbix 2.0 with Opensuse (Appliance).

    My procedure :
    I refresh the repository information
    Code:
    zypper ref
I download all pending packages to update
    Code:
    zypper up -d
    And the prompt writes :
"The following package updates will NOT be installed : libssh2-1 sysstat zabbix-agent zabbix-phpfronted zabbix-server zabbix-servermysql

    Nothing to do."

    My procedure :
    Code:
    I download zabbix-2.2.0.tar.gz and tar -zxvf zabbix-2.2.0.tar.gz
    Code:
    ./configure --enable-server --enable-agent --with-mysql --enable-ipv6 --with-net-snmp --with-libcurl --with-libxml2
    Code:
    make install
    Code:
    mkdir /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix

BUT, when I put "http://<server_ip_or_name>/zabbix " in my browser,
It's still again "WELCOME TO 2.0" and not "2.2"

    Any help please ?

I have now "WELCOME TO 2.2" but when I configure, nothing happens at the end. I still in Zabbix appliance 2.0

Do you have an idea ?

what do you mean "nothing happens"? did you go through all 6 steps, including copying zabbix.conf.php file?

you sure you did everything correctly and there we no error messages?
can you try again? move (or delete) the old zabbix directory, create new one, copy new files etc?

                        Ok, when I do :
                        Code:
                        mkdir /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix
                        cd frontends/php
                        cp -a . /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix
                        And open http://<server_ip_or_name>/zabbix
NOTHING HAPPENS (it's "WELCOME TO 2.0)

                        When I do

                        Code:
                        mv /usr/share/zabbix/ /usr/sharezabbix.old
                        mkdir /usr/share/zabbix
                        cd frontends/php
                        cp -a . /usr/share/zabbix
I have the interface with "WELCOME TO 2.2" but the installation fails

It's crazy, 2 days I'm trying to update zabbix !!!

                          what is "installation fails"??
what is in your zabbix.conf.php? how do you copy it and where?

who told you to move /usr/share/zabbix??
you need to move the www directory only!

Nobody, told me that. It's just an observation. Because when I put Frontend/php in /htdocs/zabbix the interface of installation still in 2.0

(sorry for my language, i'm not english)

if you do "make install", it is going to install the binaries into /usr/share/zabbix

                              do this now:
                              rm -rf /usr/share/zabbix
                              mv /usr/share/zabbix.old /usr/share/zabbix

cd into your zabbix 2.2.2 directory

                              make install

                              mv /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix.old
                              mkdir /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix
                              cd frontends/php
                              cp -a . /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix
