Hi,
just tried db4bix (Database Monitoring Proxy) on Zabbix 3.4.11 to check one of our Oracle DBs.
Works fine, but when i set the "Monitored by Proxy" in the Host config to the db4bix proxy, the "..Agent unreachable.." trigger fires.
Observations:
- agent.ping in latest data still shows UP for the host
- all other items collected by the agent are working fine, even some user scripts to check the raid controller
- zabbix server can ping and telnet to proxy and db server
- proxy can ping and telnet to db and zabbix server
- db server can ping and telnet to zabbix and proxy server
i guess i'm missing something..
i think db4bix is not a "full" proxy like the official zabbix proxy:
- if yes -> why is only agent.ping not working but all other items do ?
- if no -> how to get db4bix to support agent.ping ?
