logs for troubleshooting LLD items not being created

I have imported a template that contains a LLD with item prototypes that don't seem to be getting created. Where/how can I take a look at what Zabbix is doing with these?

SNMPwalk successfully returns the sub-tree of the OID used in the discover so I know the server is receiving the information. Just stumped at why it's not creating the items. I've looked at /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log and no error messages are logged.

Hi, yes. I just let it run longer and it did appear. For some reason, it took Zabbix a long time (several passes) to actually create the items.
