Fill tag based on Log monitoring

Hi, I have to monitor a log file and it would be nice to be able to extract some information from the log and use it to fill some predefined tags (in order to use in triggers and send in events).

I would appreciate any information.

I'm the same page as you... already created the LOG ITEM, which reads or process data LINE BY LINE, but I'm having issues regarding the RESOLVING of the problems....
Did you get this to work???

I used a shell script to watch the log process as autodiscover and send via zabbix_sender. As an autodiscover item I can fill the tags.
