    How to configure zabbix to monitor servers via agents.

    I have a below basic knowledge of IT and especially Zabbix but have recently managed to installed Zabbix on a virtual machine in my personal PC and also installed Zabbix agent in a HP ProLiant DL360 server so as to be able to monitor the server hard and software, just from reading around online. Now am at a cross-road because I don't know how to configure the Zabbix server on my PC virtual machine to monitor the HP server. Any help with this will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    This will help you:
    This tutorial shows how you can install and configure Zabbix agents on Linux (Debian and RHEL) in order to actively monitor local resources on remote systems.

      Hello M_D_c13 and thank you for responding to my post.
      Let me explain the situation properly.
      I have a target host (HP ProLiant DL360 Gen8 server, with Zabbix agent installed and active), and a virtual machine (Centos 7 with Zabbix 3.4 and its agent active and enabled), that I installed in my PC. Zabbix agent is active on both systems but I cant get the required data from the HP server to display on my PC's monitor probably because of the agent file configuration. Please what is the proper configuration to get the agent to provide necessary information as the server fan speed, temperature, and so on, via SNMP?

      Thanks again in advance for your help.

        Hi,
        The easiest way is to set SNMP in iLO (Administration - Management - SNMP Settings) and after that use one of Zabbix SNMP Templates for HP. You could try this

          Hello M_d_c13 and thank you for the Template.
          I however have one more issue with my Zabbix. It seems like the agent on the host server is not responding. Please what should I do?
          This is what it says;
          Received empty response from Zabbix Agent at [192.168.xx.xxx]. Assuming that agent dropped connection because of access permissions.
