I did a fresh install of 1.1 and so far everything is going good. But once I started adding a large number of items (7000+) the queue started backing up. We have tweaked the database and have increased both the trappers and suckers to 50. This help alittle, but we noticed that most of the conncetions to the database are sitting idle and never being used. Is there a way to get the idle connections to start doing something? The server is sitting idle most of the time and barley being touched by zabbix or mysql.

Some added info!
To add to the questions, I noticed that although I have 20 suckers and trappers running only about 1/4 of them are servicing the request. See the attached screen capture for the example. Many of the database connections are sitting idle for very long times while items in the queue are taking more than 1 minute to service and the processor sits idld as well. I generate more of load on the databse refreshing the queue than pulling in data.
Any help would be appreciated.Last edited by sbadger; 04-08-2006, 16:14.
