    SNMP not working correctly.

    Hi everybody.

I am monitoring my Mikrotik device via SNMP. However, at times the zabbix simply ceases to perform the reading of my interfaces traffic. Does anyone know what might be happening?

    Grateful.

Try to increase Timeout in zabbix_server.conf file

    Code:
    Timeout=30
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey

Are you monitoring other things on this device like CPU, Memory or storage? I see this happen quite a bit on my UTM if the processor gets maxed out.

            Thanx for the reply SouperGrover.
I am monitoring only the traffic of the interfaces.

I got my CPU OID from this article

              Code:
              cpu-load: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.1
Create a new Item and then make a Graph with Traffic(left Y axis) and CPU (right Y axis)

On new graph you can see if that gaps correlated with high CPU load.
              Sincerely yours,
              Aleksey

The problem is the mikrotik. When the traffic is too high, the SNMP not works correctly.

For information the "Timeout" field is the zabbix server / proxy configuration is used for SNMP items only since zabbix version 2.2+

It was the bug in teh latests versions.
