I am new to Zabbix, and I am trying to figure out how to do Host Inventory. I have set it to automatic, and the name and os fields populate correctly by default.
I have tried to put in some items into the OS (Details) and OS (Short) fields, but those items/keys do not seem to be resolving.
system.sw.os[name]
system.sw.os[short]
Is there a special syntax needed? Is there something else I need to do?
Do I need to add an item to a template that contains this first, and then add it to the inventory?
I am Debian 9, and the zabbix server and agent are the same box. I have configured the agent to have Server and ServerActive set and enabled correctly (127.0.0.1). The hostname field in the agent conf file matches the hostname in Zabbix.
What am I missing? I am sure its something simple, but I cant figure out what.
