    Zabbix Appliance is compiled to support VMWARE monitoring?

    According to the docs (version 2.2), zabbix appliance is compiled to support:

    SNMP;
    IPMI;
    Web monitoring;
    SSH2;
    IPv6.

    VMWARE monitoring is supported out the box or I have to recompile with the flags --with-libcurl --with-libxml2 ??

    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, 2.2 should support vsphere monitoring out of the box.

      I have just tried the appliance, (copying the settings that I used in my ubuntu server build [source compiled and detects vmware] and it does not seem to detect the vcenter/hosts.

      please reply with how you get on

        What settings did you copy? The config files? The whole database? The templates?

            I did try and edit the zabbix_server_conf and change the StartVMwareCollectors however after a reboot and trying the web interface i had a red banner saying zabbix server did not load

              Check /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log to clarify why your server didn't start.
              Sincerely yours,
