    Windows Services grouping

    Hello,

I have around 30 services on one Windows server and these services I could split into two groups depend of app use.
    app1_service01
    app1_service02
    app1_service03
    ...
    ...
    app2_service01
    app2_service02
    app2_service03
    ...
    ...
I monitored each one service. But the both apps could restart all services by one button click. Than I received xx emails about services are down and next I received the same amount of emails
that services are up. Could I group this alerts into two groups and receive only one email that will inforrm me about a service for selected app is down and detail I can see on the Zabbix portal?

Sorry for my English, I hope that my question is understandable. Thank you.

    L.

    Hello,

there is nobody knows to help me? I am temporary triyng to solve it by dependecies of one "Main" service, but better solution will be to create a group_trigger which will be activated when all services will be down. Otherwise each one activates a trigger

I think, You can use AND operator in action conditions: Triger equals "<Host>: app1_service01 is down" AND Triger equals "<Host>: app1_service03 is down" AND Triger equals "<Host>: app1_service03 is down" AND ...

Next question, when I created the trigger with conditions for all my services, how can I set dependencies for each one service? Because when all services will be down I don't need to start triggers for each service, there will be enough to see "App1 Services are down". But triggers for all services were created by the template and they are read only.
Is a possible to create a list of all App1 services and then create own template and there to create own trigger prototypes which will create one trigger with conditions for services from my list and second trigger prototypes for each one service and there I can set the dependecie?
Maybe it is stupid question and wrong way...

If you are using discovery rule for service status items, then in the trigger prototype "Service "{#SERVICE.NAME}"... is not running..." you can add dependency on the trigger you created for all services.
