Monitoring server's I/O

Hello,
Currently I've been trying to monitoring the server's I/O, to do this I used the key vfs.dev.write and vfs.dev.read, but it isn't working very well.
I tryied to use this parameters vfs.dev.write[/dev/sdb, bps], but don't work either. Now I'm using vfs.dev.write[/dev/sdb, operations], but I don't know what is the value, cause the key return a incremental value, not a statistic of use.

These items and their parameters depend on the Operating system. For each OS you need to check what is the relevant metric to monitor. Not all options are supported on all OS.

But, I'm still a doubt. For example, I'm using CentOS and according to this site https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ed_by_platform I can use these options "sectors, operation, sps and ops" but I don't have ideia what is the meaning.
Could you help me?
And another doubt, how can I do this for Windows?

sps, ops, bps stand for: sectors, operations, bytes per second, respectively.
Default values of 'type' parameter for different OSes:
AIX - operations
FreeBSD - bps
Linux - sps
OpenBSD - operations
Solaris - bytes

So on CentOS you have to monitor "sps" - sectors per second.

For Windows look for the performance counter which you think you need and then set up accordingly in Zabbix.
