    ZABBIX in Customer Sites

    Hi

I'm looking to place monitoring tools in various client sites and wanted to know whether this is permissible using ZABBIX?

I need to monitor clients and for any reporting to come back to me directly.

Many thanks and apologies if I'm in the wrong place!

It's doable, but depend on your needs.
Could you specify the list of devices/server/services which you would like to monitor?
Also bear in mind that firewall/NAT-router can easily make your goal unreachable.
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey

      Hi

      Thanks for your response.

I want to be able to monitor all or most of the following:

Critical Events from the server Application logs
Maximum processor usage is above 98% over a predetermined amount of time
C Drive space is less than a predetermined size
Memory usage is above 98% over a predetermined amount of time
If the power supply is stable
      If the broadband is down
      If the UPS is down
      NIC activity
      Disk activity
      Issues with the page file

Please advise if I am barking up the wrong tree!

      Kind regards

      Steve

You can do it, but you have to install Zabbix Agent to make that checks more flexible.

If the power supply is stable
        If the broadband is down
        If the UPS is down
I'm not sure about this checks. Do you have the utilities which can control it? How do you do that checks now? IPMI? SNMP? Manufacturer tools?
        Sincerely yours,
        Aleksey
