    Zabbix Folder Monitoring Configuration

I am currently a beginner in Zabbix, and I want to set up monitoring of files when they are stopped in a folder.

I work in a company that already has a monitoring system only to see if a certain folder has stopped files. We need this monitoring because the system works with the movement of files and if a file is stopped this needs to generate the alert.

I tried searching the web but I did not find this feature. Zabbix is running on a Centos 7 server and the folders are on servers running Windows Server

    Hi,
Depending on how the way the data is processed in the folder, you can try the following:
Create a new item with a vfs.dir.size[C:\temp] key (where "C:\temp" is your path to the folder) , this should provide you with the size of your folder. Use this item to define a trigger that checks the minimum folder size over a set amount of time - say, 5 minutes.
In this case the trigger should raise a problem if your folder size has been > 0 throughout the defined time period.

This will only work if your files are being processed in a fast enough manner so that the folder size isn't constantly > 0
