custom ping

I need to make custom ping like this

ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -s 1500 -M do

Shoul I do it with UserParameter?

in userparameter_mysql.conf I have created a line like:

UserParameter=customping,ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -s 1500 -M do

Is it right? What should I do next?

I just whant to check if ping remote host works with -s 1500 -M so
