    Zabbix HA configuration : Duplicate entry

    Hi,

    I have two server with frontend and server Zabbix installed.
    When I see the log zabbix server there are this entry :

    query failed: [1062] Duplicate entry '23697-1544601600' for key 'PRIMARY' [insert into trends_uint (itemid,clock,num,value_min,value_avg,value_max) values (23697,1544601600,1,62614482944,62614482944,626144 82944);

    I have the same log in two server. Is it normal ?

    Do you run the zabbix-server services both at the same time?

        Technically it is possible as you see but this creates a wide range of problems like the mentioned duplicated entries in DB, duplicate alerts sent etc. Zabbix server is not currently designed to work in Active-Active HA fashion. You may have two Zabbix servers but only one must be running at the same time.

        There are several ways to implement this solution but for automatic failovers the most popular probably is Corosync / Pacemaker Linux cluster.
