    Web monitoring via different continents

    Hello,

I'm a bit puzzled how the web monitoring works. Does it necessary need to be executed from Zabbix server? Is it possible to execute for example from different host with zabbix agent installed?

What I am trying to do is to monitor same web site from different continents and measure its speed and response time.

    web monitoring from different locations

    Hi vesal,

I am doing right sth. similar. My server is in our office LAN and checks a passive zabbix proxy on a vhost @ a hoster.
This proxy has an agent installed.
My web checks are defined and executed on this host and the item values are polled by the server in the office LAN.

For your scenario you could setup proxies at different locations with web checks monitoring the same web site.

    HTH,
    Claudio
