We have scripts that extract and log certain information for triggers. As I've worked with this, I've discovered that it would be useful to know when a new TRIGGER.ID is issued. Presumably, Zabbix has some criteria by which it says, "This is the same event, so reuse TRIGGER.ID XYZ" and "This is a new event, so reuse TRIGGER.ID ZYX". In some cases, there is a PROBLEM, followed by an OK, followed by another PROBLEM, all with the same TRIGGER.ID. So, apparently, it's not the fact that the PROBLEM has been resolved. What is it, then, that makes Zabbix decide that it has a "new" trigger, and hence a new TRIGGER.ID?
I've attempted to find documentation, but may have missed it. If so, a pointer would be greatly appreciated and I'll start there. Thank you.
