Zabbix v4 for Dummies.

I have quite long experience with different monitoring softwares , but Zabbix confused me the most. Documentation is not clear and most of the examples on the web are for v3 and even v2.

The first confusion is naming convention , what is what. Here is my test scenario:


I have Zabbix 4.0.3 on PGSQL installed on CentOS7. Agent is installed don this server as well. I want to monitor for the beginning WIndows machine and SNMP enabled device.
First confusion was on Windows Host creating on Zabbix Server:

Is the Agent IP is local Zabbix Server Agent or Windows machine I want to monitor ? The same for SNMP Host.


Documentation and examples I found do not clarify this at all.

Then I started to play around Windows agent and again .conf file mentioned "Server". Is this is Zabbix Server or local server and what I have to configure ?

Is this enough for agent on the "Monitoring" side to work ?
Do I need to be more specific on "Server" ( and again what server mens on the agent configuration ? )


To avoid all this stupid question , maybe someone know really good examples/books/urls/HowTo's ? ( Do not point me to the documentation as the half steps are missed there)
