i need some help about how to monitoring my host using template icmp ping.

What do i have to active in linux?

Dashboard? Do you mean "Last 20 issue" ?
It will show some events if you will be in trouble.

If everything working good - you have an empty list of issue.

yes, that's it.

the problem was that the agent ping time was 5min.

Correct me if I'm wrong - It's incredibly high response time? You would like to get error message about 5 min response time?
