    Help with monitoring port traffic

Hello there! I'm new to using Zabbix and I like how easy it is to use.
Though I need some help with getting traffic on certain ports since my Googling skills have lead me several pages in with no cigar.

Will there need to be an agent that can handle looking at the traffic that passes through the port, and get current traffic and total monthly traffic/is there something like net.if.total & net.if.in/out for port level activity?
Or is there some Ntop extension that works with Zabbix?

If that didn't make sense I can try clarify a little more, since I'm still largely getting my head around how Zabbix functions.

    EDIT:
Monitoring will be TCP on ports 25565-25570 on my Linux server (CentOS on KVM).

Thanks in advance for any help,
    Jason.

    Let's start from the "start".
What device would you like to control?
Is it a switch? a Linux server? a Windows server?

Then you can select between :
    - Template SNMP Interface (for stupid switch)
    - Template Zabbix Agent (for servers where you can install Zabbix Agent)
    - external scripts (for devices where you cannot install Zabbix Agent, nether SNMP daemon, but you can get information from Manufacturers Service Utilities)

When you ask a good question - you are getting a good answer.
Because right now the short answer for you question: "YES, but..."

    More details - more options.
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey

Thank you for the reply. I do understand more information will help with getting correct answer, but as I said I'm new so I'll need a little hinting in the right direction.
I've updated the OP with some more information.
