Monitoring Server in different location not able to connect things

I have zabbix setup on a local server and I'm trying to monitor a server running security camera recording system that is on another property.

I have set everything based on several things I have read but I'm not connected correctly. I'm really not sure where to start (next steps) to make things work.

Hello SpencerH,

First thing to do is verify connectivity. Can you PING the monitored host from the monitoring server?
How are monitoring the server (Agent, SNMP, other)?
If basic connectivity is present, is the applicable server running and opening on the expected port number?
