i am new in Zabbix, but i am impress of the easy way to configure zabbix.
Now i have 2 questions. i could find a answer, hope anybody can help:
i have discover 2 subnet and create many hosts (switches) with an 2 actions.
(create host, assign to 2 groups and link to template icmp -> all work fine)
Now i would like to add snmp templates to the host, but this did´t work, because the host does not have an snmp ip adresse interface.
Can i mass update the snmp interface ip with the agent inferface ip?
(Like macro, commandline oder MySQL?)
Second Question:
is they a way to use a item value to update a hostname?
e.g. reading a snmp hostname with item and use the value to update the hostname (once a time, not any time)
