How to continue ping hosts if proxy is down

I see that if Zabbix Proxy goes down, Zabbix will not check hosts that was monitored by this proxy.

Can I make it so that if proxy down, Zabbix kept checking hosts, that was monitored by this proxy, directly by ICMP only?

Yes, you can - by creating the second Host with the same IP-address and different name, and options "Monitoring" has to be - Zabbix Server.

I mean to monitor host by icmp directly, but all other sevices via proxy, without doubling it.

You can setup "Monitored by proxy" for the whole host only.
If you want to monitor some services by proxy - you can combine it in one host and rest of services (which will be monitored directly) - combine to other host, configured independently.

The are no tricks and cheat-codes.
