    RTFM (Virtual Machine Monitoring)
Support of monitoring VMware environments is available in Zabbix starting with version 2.2.0.
Some ideas can be find in thread "SNMP Monitoring of ESXi for Nagios/MRTG"
There are templates for nagios, for MRTG and source code of script which can help you to find out the correct OID for VMware MIB.
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey

      Hi,

If you want to monitor the hardware of your ESXi servers you can also use WBEM/CIM. I've created a python script for this purpose :

You Will need to install your hardware vendor's WBEM provider if needed. Most vendors provide an ESXi iso with builtin agents.
