    Error while adding template

    Hi everyone,

I'm new on this forum and young zabbix user.

I have three Hp Procurve wich can be monitored by SNMP.

I already have few informations about them with Generic,Interface and Device Template default template.

I've downloaded the HP Procurve template avalaible on Zabbix website, and have dfficulties to import it. As bellow is my error :

Créé : Élément "icmpInAddrMaskReps" sur "Template_HP_Procurve".
Créé : Élément "icmpInAddrMasks" sur "Template_HP_Procurve".
    |
    |(some others lines)
    |
Créé : Élément "lmemRomID" sur "Template_HP_Procurve".
Créé : Élément "sysName" sur "Template_HP_Procurve".
    Item "{HOSTNAME}:ifOutOctets1" doesn't exist.

I think my Zabbix don't know the string "ifOutOctets", maybe stored in a MIB file or something like that.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

It's just saying that the Item: {HOSTNAME}:ifOutOctets1 has to exist before you can import that template.

It can be created manually or from a different template, or low-lewel discovery.

Did you read any README.TXT which can exist near your wrongly imported template? (on web-site, in archive, etc.)
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey
