Monitoring VMware ESXi 5.x with Zappix

Hi all,

i am new to zabbix..
Great tool! For me it's an enterprise solution.
It delivers all function we urgently need!!! That's amazing!!!
So now cool down..

Back to my problem. We have a big vmware enviroment and want to monitor our vmware esxi 5.x with zabbix. I have read documentation, but i will not get any data from esxi host. We are still in testing, so i have downloaded zabbix appliance which is compiled with "--with-libxml2 and --with-libcurl compilation options".

This is what i have done:

- compile zabbix server with required options (--with-libxml2 and --with-libcurl) (already to appliance!)
- set the StartVMwareCollectors option in Zabbix server configuration file to 1 or more
- create a new host
- set the host macros required for VMware authentication

I have checked some forum posts here, but not find a solution for me!
(VMware Host Version is 5.5 )

Anyone could help me?

It's working now. But only if i use vCenter Server configuration.

In my company we do not use vCenter...
