Combining items values for a new item

I would like to combine the output from 3 items on the same host to get a single output. I have looked at the aggregate function, but it seems to be for multiple host instead of a single one.

I'm searching for something similar:

We have 2 redundant Firewalls, which share in/out traffic.
Is there a way to get the total Traffic rate of fw1in, fw1out, fw2in AND fw2out in one value?

I'm pretty sure you can actually do this with a single host. Just not sure at the moment how to do it. I'm sure by now you mayhave already figured it out.
