Testing out new tag functionality at the template and host levels. We have inventory fields that I would like to pull into tags for a host. If I define the tag in the host, I can use an inventory macro for the value and the data is pulled from inventory and put in the tag successfully when a trigger is generated. If I define the same tag within a template, use the same inventory macro for the value and apply that to the same host, the tag is not within the trigger when it is generated. It appears that the inventory macros will not evaluate when used within tags at the template level. Can someone please verify whether this is correct?
