    Map label for VMware vCenter and ESXi.

    I created a map for vCenter and ESXi, and want to show status of them.

    Label for vCenter:
    {HOST.NAME}
    {{HOST.HOST}:vmware.fullname[{$URL}].last()}
    {{HOST.HOST}:vmware.version[{$URL}].last()}

    Label for ESXi:
    {HOST.NAME}
    {HOST.HOST}
    {{HOST.HOST}:vmware.hv.cpu.usage[{$URL},{HOST.HOST}].last()}

    For vCenter, it works well. For ESXi, it shows "UNKNOWN".

    I attached related screen shots.

    I need help

    Hey Pongpong.

    I found your thread through google.

    I'm having the same issue. I've tried everything I can think of.

    Have you found a solution yet, or have it just not been implemented?

    I'm going to the Zabbix conference this year. and if I haven't figured it out by then, I will see if I can find someone there who might know something about this

    Best regards

    Daniel

        Hey,

        When zabbix discovers the ESXi hosts and virtual machines it puts the unique id number of host in the "Host Name" field of the host. You can find this number on host information under configuration tab. (host info attachment)

        The state you need to put in the label box on the maps is; (host map)

        CPU:{ID number:vmware.hv.cpu.usage[{$URL},{HOST.HOST}].last(0)}

        Hope this will help.

          Even better without looking up the Hostname/ID, use:
          CPU:{{HOST.HOST}:vmware.hv.cpu.usage[{$URL},{HOST.HOST}].last(0)}
