Hi!
I'm using partitioning for my DB. Partitioned tables are history and trends. Partitions for history are created every day and for trends - every month.
Usually I'm storing history for 7 days, so old partitions are removed daily, leaving only last 7 partitions. That's OK for most of items, but I'm also collecting logs from Windows servers on zabbix which are quite heavy, so I want to store those items only for a three days. That's why I thought about enabling housekeeper for history.
I don't want housekeepr to clean history for most of my items, only for itmes with windows logs, so that's what I made: I set history storage period to 8 days for all items except for logs, and for logs I set it to 3 days.
So my question is: is it OK if history storage period would be set to 8 days, but in fact it would be stored only for 7 days? Will this affect trends generation?
