Conainers and Zabbix

Hello in zabbix we are monitoring our XenServers and also the VMs on them.

Is there any way to prevent Zabbix Ping and ICMP Ping alerts to be sent for the VMs when the XenServer containing them is down and send only for the XenServer?

For example if 1 XenServer contains 10VMs we dont want to receive 11 Problem and 11 OK SMSs but only 2 SMSs in total.

Can this be done?

Quick answer: Yes, it can be done.

All VM's triggers has to be dependent on XenServer trigger
