Zabbix Simple Check

I want to monitor service status whether is it running or not on remote server on specific port using zabbix simple check (net.tcp.service). My question is for simple check zabbix agent needs to get installed on remote server(server whose service we want to monitor)?

For Ex., I want to monitor a http service running on some remote server (10.0.7.3) on port 8080 then what will be the Item Key for this operation?

agent is not needed for simple checks.

Zabbix

server/proxy is responsible for the processing of simple checks
